 The HTC Corporation has been in business since early 1997. However, most consumers have never heard of this company until recent years. The company has been making cell phones and other electronics in the overseas market since the inception of their company. Only recently has their product line been brought to the US market and this is why they have been so underrated and unknown until now. The makers of the new Google Android enabled phones are quickly becoming a cell phone maker of choice for many American consumers.

When HTC first started they did not brand their phones with their own company name. They began producing smart phones for some of the largest companies in the world like; Compaq, Treo and others. Since their technology has been used in many phones and PDA’s they have moved forward and brought their circuitry technology together with the software ability that Google offers to make a match made in heaven. The HTC Touch was the first release under the HTC brand and it was released almost ten years after the HTC Company was started. The success of this phone has lead to more models that are currently being released under the HTC/AT&T umbrella. The HTC legend and HTC Desire are hitting the consumer market this year (2010).

HTC has found success in almost every electronics field that they have entered and the investors expect them to be expanding into more consumer grade electronics markets very soon. You may be seeing TVs, MP3 players and other electronic gadgets coming from this now “Top 5” ranked cell phone producer. The company now offers phones on all major cell phone carriers’ networks including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and Sprint. The continued success of this company is largely due to the partnership between Cher Mi Wang, HT Cho and Peter Chou who created the partnership that turned into the HTC corporation years later.
