The company’s markets products like Atripla®, which is the first single tablet regimen for HIV infection. The scientists of this company also invented anti-influenza drug Tamiflu®, which is globally marketed by Hoffmann-La Roche. The latest therapy of the company, which was approved in June 2007 is Letairis® and there is also a once-daily oral treatment for pulmonary arterial hypertension.
The company was founded in 1987 in Foster City, California and in just 20 years it became one of the largest biopharmaceutical companies in the world. The company has an expanding product portfolio, growing pipeline of investigational drugs, with more than 3,200 employees. The company operates in three continents.
